SsangYong selected for public service by foreign government agencies
▪ Rexton to be used for disaster management control in Bulgaria
▪ Musso Grand selected by the Public Authority and National Police in Palestine
▪ Additional sales and increased brand awareness achieved despite Covid
SsangYong Motor Company has announced that its cars have been selected as public service vehicles in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, thanks to their growing reputation for excellent product quality.
The company has signed a supply contract for 32 Rexton to Bulgaria’s national Safety and Protection of the Population department, for delivery in January next year.“Rexton has been selected as the control car for its excellent off-road driving performance and durability, and will be used at natural disaster sites,” said an official from the Safety and Protection of the Population department in Bulgaria.
SsangYong has also signed a contract with the Palestinian Authority to deliver 15 Musso Grand pick-ups, with the possibility of a further 100 vehicles from the Palestinian government. The cars will be used as private vehicles for the Palestinian National Police Agency, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Secretary’s Office.
These orders follow the recent supply of Musso pick-ups to the North Wales Fire & Rescue Service in the UK, and demonstrate how appropriate SsangYong vehicles are for use as special vehicles in the public sector. Such contracts are excellent for raising brand awareness in local markets while securing additional overseas sales which are especially difficult to achieve during the ongoing Covid pandemic situation. <Ends>
