▪ Arrived in Germany traversing over 13,000km via 23 cities in 10 different countries

SsangYong Motor Company (CEO Johng-Sik Choi; www.kg-mobility.com/en) announced complete of Rexton Trans Eurasia Trail over 50 days epic journey with arrival in Wiesbaden, Germany on September 11, 2017.

The trail began with its official ceremony in SsangYong Pyeongtaek plant, July 27, 2017, and traversed over 23 cities in 10 countries including China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Lithuania, Poland, and Germany, which consisted of 6 stages with 13,000km driving in total.

During the trail, 30 European journalists from Germany, Spain, Italy, and etc. joined to test the new Rexton in various conditions and in particular, the last driving route from Liepzig to Wiesbaden, Germany was joined by CEO Choi and made a final drive into the destination, announcing completion of successful expedition.

Rexton Trans Eurasia Trail was designed to demonstrate performance and durability of the new Rexton to medias along with its launch in global markets.

Driving on & off-road of 500km to 800km distance on daily basis, the Rexton encountered extreme driving conditions including desert, off-road, and a gust of wind and proved its reliability and characteristics as an authentic SUV.

SsangYong's 30-year history of expeditions and rallies including one of the toughest races in the world, Paris-Dakar rally, has attributed to SsangYong's identity as SUV maker and its technologies, which led to development of the 4th generation Rexton, the flagship SUV of SsangYong inheriting SUV DNA.

After the ceremony, one of the Rextons headed to SsangYong stand at Messe, Frankfurt to be displayed with other Rextons, which are to be showcased on the following day at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 beginning from September 12, 2017 while other Rextons will be dispatched to Blenheim Palace at Oxford on September 13, 2017 for its launch in UK market.
