SsangYong Motor Company, (CEO Johng-sik Choi; www.kg-mobility.com/en), has convened the 2016 Global Distributor Conference to expand global networks and consolidate its presence in overseas markets.
The three-day gathering that kicked off April 20th involved around 70 distributors from more than 40 countries. The conference consisted of XLV test drive, conference, discussion, award ceremony, and regional round meeting.
On the first day, distributors experienced the great on- and off-road driving performance of XLV through the test drive from Incheon Grand Hyatt Hotel to Seoul Marina Club & Yacht. Moreover, its superb riding comfort, quietness, roomy interior, plentiful storage spaces, and multiple seating variations made the distributors fully satisfied.
During the conference, overseas distributors shared SsangYong's corporate vision, mid to long term product strategies and marketing communication plans as well as their views on this year's sales goal. Under this year’s theme of “Stylish & Exciting SsangYong,” participants celebrated XLV’s launch and SsangYong’s continuous growing trend. Also, distributors shared their successful launching strategies for XLV and discussed successful launching plans
In the meantime, total 7 distributors were awarded under the category of sales, marketing and customer service. For this year, the UK distributor had the honor of Distributor of the Year, along with SsangYong Motor Middle Europe (fast growing), Chile (best market shacre), New Zealand (network management), Costa Rica (business development), Spain (customer service), and Peru (digital marketing).
Johng-sik Choi, CEO of SsangYong Motor Company said, “Despite sluggish global market, distributors put all efforts to increase sales and strengthen competitiveness in local markets, and Tivoli could make its launch successful in global market.” And he added, “Along with the launch of XLV, we will accelerate our best efforts to boost global sales by opening up new markets, diversifying export markets, and implementing various sales strategies.”
