SsangYong Sahsuvaroglu (www.ssangyong.com.tr), the official SsangYong distributor in Turkey, officially launched the Tivoli at the Istanbul International Auto Show 2015 held at Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, starting from May 21, 2015.
Along with showcase at the motorshow, Tivoli is ready to go one sales across Turkey – with 1.6 liter petrol engine available now and 1.6 liter diesel and 4WD version (for both petrol and diesel engines) will be added soon later.
Tivoli is already recognized with its European design, pleasant driving performance offered by the newly developed powertrain, and sensible practicality since its launch in Korean market. Tivoli has been leading a compact SUV market in Korea since January and sales are expected to continue to increase with its sales in overseas markets around the 2nd half this year.
Car market in Turkey is estimated to be up by 10% compared to last year, and especially, in case of SUV-B segment where Tivoli comes in, up by 80% from last year’s. Thanks to its geographical characteristic, Sales in Turkey is also expected to influence neighboring countries such as Asia, Europe and North Africa. SsangYong sold 1,000 units in Turkish market last year, and for this year, set sales target of 1,800 units.
In the meantime, in an effort to extend sales network and achieve this year’s target, SsangYong Sahsuvaroglu opened the biggest SsangYong Showroom in Ankara, Turkey.
Opening ceremony held at the new showroom on May 25, 2015 was joined by Nihat Sahsuvaroglu, Chairman of SsangYong Sahsuvaroglu, dealers, and journalists.
The newly opened Ankara showroom is the world biggest SsangYong showroom, with its size of 30,000m2 and 14 floors which is consist of sales showroom, parts center, and service center.
SsangYong Sahsuvaroglu started SsangYong business in Turkey in 2007. As the official distributor of Ssangyong, Sahsuvaroglu operates 27 showrooms and 43 service centers across the country, having sold 1,000 units last year.
Following distributor agreement extension to 2018, Sahsuvaroglu have recently merged the headquarters and the showroom in Tuzla and moved to center of Istanbul and plans to increase investment on SsangYong brand in mid/long term business.
