SsangYong Motor (CEO Johng-sik Choi; www.kg-mobility.com/en) plans to supply 1000 units of Rodius (also exported as ‘Stavic’), the multi-purpose vehicle, to Morocco this year.
Demand for Rodius has increased since it was approved as taxi by the government in Morocco last year, Rodius has been well accepted as Taxi and also loved by private customers thanks to its spacious capacity enough to carry passengers and luggage at the same time.
Furthermore, greater sales of Rodius are expected this year as the government plans to implement subsides program to replace old taxis with new ones.
The exports of SsangYong vehicles reached 72,011 units last year, including 5,731 Rodius, up 11.2 percent from 2013. Rodius has been widelyused in various fields, such as a highway safety control car in Belgium, ambulance in New Zealand, and etc.
