Ssangyong Motor Introduces LIV-1 Concept at Auto Expo 2014
Ssangyong Motor attends the 12th Auto Expo held in India Expo Mart Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India from February 7 to 11 jointly with Mahindra & Mahindra.
At a joint press conference on the media day, February 5, Ssangyong Motor showcased one concept car and two production models; LIV-1 Concept, Rexton W 2.0, and Korando Turismo.
LIV-1(Limitless Interface Vehicle) Concept, unveiled for the first time at the Seoul Motor Show 2013, is Ssangyong’s future strategic concept. The vehicle demonstrates Ssangyong’s innovative product development by adopting the 3S-Cube philosophy, consisting of three features, ‘Smart Link, Safe Way and Special Sense’. Housed in a sturdy body frame, this new prototype features SsangYong’s unique four-wheel drive system and an interface that enables those inside the vehicle to more easily use the system.
The Rexton W 2.0 is equipped with own 2.0 litre turbo charged e-XDi200 diesel engine offering a level of performance and NVH that have already been tested, proven and praised in the marketplace. Ssangyong and Mahindra launched the Rexton 2.7 in India in Oct 2002.
Embodying SsangYong Motor’s design philosophy of ‘Premium, Robust and Specialty’, the the Korando Turismo (a.k.a Rodius in some overseas markets) evokes the strong and dynamic appearance of an SUV, and with its large exterior volume is ideal for a wide range of roles ranging from transporting large families, leisure pursuits and urban commuting to official and ceremonial duties.
