Ssangyong Motor Company (President and CEO Lee Yoo-il,www.kg-mobility.com) announced on 11 that it invited 40 dealers from Colombia to consolidate its partnership with Latin American region, a strategically important base for global marketing activities.
This invitation, first in its kind since the start of new partnership with Mahindra, is designed to form a consensus over SYMC’s global marketing strategies and to discuss cooperative measures to accomplish 2011 business target..
The program, which lasts for 4 days from April 9th to the 12th, begins with a visit to the Seoul International Motor Show on the 10th, followed by a tour of the production lines in Pyeongtaek Plant, a briefing session on the plant status and a dinner for participants.
The visit to Ssangyong Motor Company’s exhibition booth at the Seoul Motor Show offered the Colombian spectators opportunities to outlook future directions for product development. Their pride in the brand was inspired by experiencing the production facilities of Korando C that had recently made a successful inroad into the Colombian market.
SYMC made continued efforts to expand sales in Latin America, and its efforts resulted in regional sales at 15,000 units last year. This year, the volume is expected to surpass last year’s figure with the launch of Korando C.
“Latin America that holds more than 20% of SYMC’s export is a strategically important market,” said Lee Yoo-il, president and CEO of SYMC. “With the launch of Korando C, SYMC will have more presence in Latin America and consolidate its long-term cooperative relationship with this strategically important region,” he added.
