Ssangyong Motor Company (www.kg-mobility.com) hosted the 2010 SYMC Global Distributors Conference at the Hyatt Regency Incheon, in Yeongjong Island, on April 26th; where over 80 overseas distributors from 41 countries participated.
This year's conference was held to find common grounds for the business goals set for 2010 and to discuss ways in which to expand exports. Distributors were also given an opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the C200 through an appraisal test.
The conference started with a tour of the plant and production facilities in Pyeongtaek . Participation in the conference on the morning of April 27 continued with an appraisal test on the C200 on the following day, and was topped with a view of the Busan International Motor Show on the 29th. Ssangyong Motor Company awarded six distributors who had shown excellent performance in the previous year at the conference to encourage distributors who had taken efforts to increase sales against all odds last year and also asked participants to do their best to meet this year's export goal set at 45,000 units.
The Best Distributor of the Year Award was given to the Spanish distributor, a third-time winner following 2006 and 2007, whilst the Chile distributor won the Distributor of the Year Award. Distributors from Russia, Australia, Brazil and Turkey were also selected as distributors with an exceptionally high performance record.
At the end of the conference, there was a special event called the "Global Families of Ssangyong Create Vision Art Wall," where all participants wrote their wishes and visions for 2010 and decorated an art wall with their own messages.
"The C200, a new product with years' of extensive effort, will hit the market later this year, and it is very important for our global distributors to achieve their sales target based on our distinctive marketing and service capabilities," said Lee Yoo-il, a Legal Trustee of Ssangyong Motor Company.
