In 2008, the company expanded its social contribution activities.
The Changwon Plant is planning to engage in activities to purify wetlands in connection with the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands scheduled to take place in October this year in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. The plant is also carrying out other volunteer activities, such as the raising of the 'health fund', which involves making a donation to unfortunate neighbors at the end of the year, based on how much each employee's physical strength has improved during a six month period. The plant is also planning to continuously carry out volunteer activities at the farming village in the second half of the year.
Managing Director Sang-tae Han who is the Changwon Plant Manager said, "I am extremely happy that we can return the love we receive from customers to the local community through small, but continuous volunteer activities. Continuous efforts will be made so that these volunteer activities for farming villages and alienated neighbors provide practical help."
