SsangYong Motor Reaffirms its Resolve to Achieve the 2008 Sales Target at the 2008 Dealer Conference

- Sales efforts in 2007 were rewarded and participants reaffirmed their resolve to achieve the joint sales target this year

SsangYong Motor (CEO and President Hyung-Tak Choi;www.kg-mobility.com) announced that it held the 『2008 Dealer Conference』 at the Ritz-Carlton Seoul on January 9. During this event, participants reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen sales activities and reviewed tasks that need to be handled in order to achieve business targets for 2008. 

The conference consisted of a sales award ceremony; the announcement of key promotional events and plans for 2008; a presentation on the 「Chairman W」, including its launching plan; and a congratulatory performance, in this sequence. Last year’s sales efforts were rewarded and information was shared on the「Chairman W」, which is scheduled to be released in the first half of this year, as well as the 2008 sales target.

This event was participated by around 300 officials, including SsangYong Motor executives, regional sales headquarter managers, and domestic dealership representatives. The event was held in a lively and elated atmosphere, based on high expectations that the company bounced back into the black in 2007.

SsangYong Motor Vice President Qiong Gen Yu in charge of sales said, “We have high expectations that the company bounced back into the black last year and the Chairman W, in which we have concentrated all our efforts, is planning to be released in March. As such, there is an elated atmosphere in the sales sector. All sales sectors have come together today to reach a common understanding on the company’s targets and reaffirmed their resolve to engage in strong sales activities. Strenuous efforts will be made to achieve the company’s 2008 sales target.”
