South Korea's SsangYong Motor Co. will open its European distribution centre in the southern Netherlands
next spring, a company spokeswoman said.
"Our plan is to open the distribution center in Breda in the early spring of 2007," Astrid Molewijk said.
Breda is close to the harbours of Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Antwerp in Belgium.
"The aim is to reduce the time of delivery of a newly bought car to our clients from 43 days now to only
four days in the future," Molewijk said.
The distribution center will be operated by the American Caterpillar Logistics Services.
SsangYong will employ 20 people, two of them South Koreans.
The fast growing company is specialised in four-wheel-drive cars and had a turnover of $US3.4 billion
($A4.3 billion) in 2005. At the end of the year, South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics will
open its European distribution centre at only 200 meters from the new SsangYong buildings in Breda.
