MADRID - SsangYong is expanding in central and eastern Europe. The Korean automaker has appointed Grupo Berge of Spain to import and distribute its vehicles in Poland.
Stefan Kuzminski, SsangYong Poland's general manager, said he expects to sell about 1,100 vehicles in Poland next year through 25 newly appointed dealers.
Currently Hungary is the only central European country in which SsangYong sells its cars.
SsangYong expects to appoint a distributor in the Czech Republic later this year, company sources said.
